Chelsea fired manager Thomas Tuchel after a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb.
The Blues have had a slow start to the Premier League season and had a nightmare start to their Champions League campaign in Croatia on Tuesday night. After a busy summer of spending at Stamford Bridge, new owner Todd Boehly has moved quickly to remove Tuchel from his position.
According to a club statement: “Chelsea Football Club has parted ways with Head Coach Thomas Tuchel today.
“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, I’d like to express my appreciation to Thomas and his team for all of their efforts during their time with the club.
“Thomas will have a rightful place in Chelsea history, having won the Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup during his time here.” The new ownership group believes the time has come to make this transition as it approaches 100 days since taking over the Club and continues to work hard to move the club forward.
“As the Club seeks a new head coach, Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and preparation for our upcoming matches.” No further comment will be made until a new head coach is hired.”

Tuchel SACKED?
Understand new owners always hire new managers but what’s the point backing him with almost £300m only to sack him 7 games into the season? Unbelievable.

The way Tuchel dealt with the Abramovic situation was absolutely incredible there was even more pressure on Chelsea as a football club then & they still came out of it okay because of him
& then they go and sack him because of a few poor results LOl what a stupid football club.

That Tuchel news has genuinely pissed me off and I’m not even a Chelsea fan.
My favourite none United manager ever hung out to dry because of those spineless players.

Chelsea should appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjær to replace Tuchel.
You’ll play horrible football but your attackers and Mount will all thrive which is what you guys want by the sounds of it. pic.twitter.com/oUOB79mCtv
